But I haven’t played in forever, so if I ever were to sit at a board again with another player I’d probably get my ass kicked. I ended up taking home a couple of 1st place trophies. Every so often my school’s chess club would hold tournaments at a local restaurant. When I was a kid I was a local chess champion Though I don’t intend to be a teacher for the long haul, I feel that these are good qualifications to have. Once I decided to move to England I applied for qualified teacher status there as well, and was granted it. Which allowed me to get certified as a teacher in my home state of Michigan. I have a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I hold teaching licenses in two different countries
#10 random facts about me series#
My favorite anime series include the Dragonball franchise, Attack on Titan, and One Punch Man. Also they have intense action sequences that just simply can’t be done with live action shows or movies. What I like about anime is that many series have very great story lines. And that comes in the form of watching anime. Though I have not fought since then, but I still do martial arts training regularly.
I ended up pulling off a decisive win by knockout in less than a minute of the first round. After about a year’s worth of MMA training I decided to test myself in the cage. I started off doing karate, but eventually found my way to doing MMA. Martial arts have been a part of my life since I was a teenager. And as you might have noticed, I may tend to swear in my posts. Not only did I learn some really cool shit, but I also learned a lot about myself. Though I didn’t see myself making a career out of the Marine Corps, I was definitely glad that I had served. Much of who I am as a person today is a result of my service. The Marine Corps was perhaps the most defining chapter of my life. I then went on to complete four years of service as an administrator aboard MCAS New River in North Carolina. Which as of today is still one of my greatest accomplishments. After three months of Hell I earned the title of United States Marine. When I was 18 years old, less than three weeks after graduating from high school, I boarded a plane to San Diego to attend Boot Camp. So here we go, 10 random (but cool) facts about me, and these are in no particular order. And you all can get a better picture of the man behind the stories. Not all of these will be travel related, but some will certainly come up again in later posts. So for this post I’ve put together 10 random (but cool) facts about me. More is definitely to come, but before that I thought I’d give you all a chance to learn a little bit more about who I am. And I hope that you all have enjoyed my stories so far. please share random facts about you in the comment section so this our friendship can grow.Well I’ve been blogging for just about a month now. Now I feel you know me better but I don’t know you and that’s sad.
I shared 16 random facts about me (read it here) and I’m sharing more here because as I grow daily I discover more amazing things about myself. I’m sure you’re wondering why the more is there, this is sort of part 2 of my very first post on this blog.
